Femina Physical Therapy is excited to offer personalized PeriCoach training to enhance our patients' home exercise programs.
PeriCoach is now available at our office without a prescription and is recommended for mild to moderate stress urinary incontinence, light bladder leakage and mild prolapse symptoms (cystocele, rectocele, urethrocele).
The PeriCoach connects to your Apple or Android devices* and includes pre-programmed pelvic floor exercises. At Femina Physical Therapy, we also have the ability to remotely add individualized pelvic floor protocols to your device.
With your purchase from our office, we include one data review from which we will make a personalized recommendation for ongoing pelvic floor exercise. In order to review your data, please let us know your preferred email address once you've purchased, and we will send you an invitation to connect with us. If you are not local to our Sherman Oaks, Beverly Hills or Glendale/Montrose offices, we offer shipping of this item. Inquire for shipping rates and device cost HERE.
Purchase Pericoach in our office or directly by clicking HERE. Be sure to enter “Heather Jeffcoat” when you make your purchase as part of your preregistration process so we can connect with you on personalizing your programs.
The PeriCoach System® is a smart phone app and device used to support our patients through a home Pelvic Floor Muscle Exercise (PFME) routine. It will give you the confidence to exercise consistently between visits and as suggested in your treatment plan. For more information about the PeriCoach System click HERE.
How often should I use PeriCoach?
Published data demonstrates that consistency is key. Women using PeriCoach for 5 or more daily sessions a week report a higher satisfaction in overall bladder control, their ability to participate in functional activities which previously caused leakage, and significant improvement in sexual function over just performing PFME alone. We suggest this frequency for the first 4-6 weeks depending on your symptoms and goals.
*Please note compatibility requirements are: phone must be Bluetooth communication capable and run version 2.3 of the Android operating system (or later) or for iPhone, 4S or later (iOS operating system version 7.0 or later). Most smartphones after 2010 meet these requirements.
