If it feels like Freddy Krueger is attacking your uterus every five seconds, right this way.

Heather Jeffcoat and the Femina PT team are known the world over when it comes to pelvic floor health and sexual wellbeing, and Cosmopolitan Magazine regularly reaches out to Heather for her insights into a variety of related issues.

In Cosmo's latest article about living with endometriosisTaylor Andrews gets Heather's opinion on the best sex toys for women who are experiencing this condition:

"Women with endometriosis will typically have pain upon deeper thrusting. One option for them to experience penetration with less pain is to use a depth-limiting toy, such as the OhNut," says physical therapist Heather Jeffcoat, who specializes in treating women who experience painful sex. "I also recommend that patients put the OhNut at the base of their favorite vibrator if only pain with depth is an issue."

"Endometriosis is often accompanied by vulvodynia, which means pain in the external genitalia, aka pain with penetration. If a woman experiences this, then I recommend she focus on a clitoral vibrator that hugs over the mons pubis, such as the Touch by We Vibe," says Jeffcoat. "The vibrator has rumbly settings that are very relaxing to muscles, which is important since women with endometriosis tend to have overactive pelvic floor muscles because of the pain they're experiencing in the area."

Femina PT (née Fusion Wellness & Physical Therapy) has been such an answer to prayer, i'm so glad I found them! I've been struggling with vaginismus my whole life, but didn't have a name for it until about 6 or 7 months ago. Even once I did have a name for it though, I didn't know where to begin in getting help. My OB/GYN had me get a set of dilators, but I couldn't even insert the smallest one by myself. Most times I tried I just ended up frustrated and in tears. I felt really alone, like I...

I wanted to let you know that my pelvic floor held strong and gave me no trouble whatsoever in my trail race this morning (12 miles)! In a way, I felt like I ran better than ever because my core feels so rock solid from all the exercises you have me doing. That was especially valuable on the technical downhill - I just flew down the trail because I had confidence in my balance and form. Thank you for helping me get back to doing what I love. -- A.W., age 32(completed Post-partum Renewal...
