Jina Kwon, SPT (she/her/hers) is a third-year Doctor of Physical Therapy student at the University of Southern California (USC). Her clinical experiences at USC include outpatient orthopedics, outpatient pediatrics, and inpatient acute care across mixed populations. Before pursuing her DPT, Jina earned her undergraduate degree in Psychobiology from UCLA, where her passion for rehabilitation and human movement first took shape through her work as a sports medicine intern for the UCLA football and women’s soccer teams.
During her graduate studies, Jina completed specialized coursework in pelvic rehabilitation through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, gaining clinical experience in the management of urogynecologic and colorectal conditions. Having undergone pelvic floor physical therapy herself, Jina was inspired to help other women navigate their own healing journeys with a holistic and empathetic approach.
She believes that addressing pelvic health requires considering both the physical and psychosocial factors contributing to dysfunction.
Jina is also Polestar Pilates trained and integrates Pilates principles into her patient care to promote strength, mobility, and body awareness. She has experience teaching on the reformer, cadillac, chair, and spine corrector to support her patients’ functional goals.
Outside of the clinic, Jina enjoys attending Solidcore and Barry’s classes, baking, and reading a good book.
