Brandon Slavin received his certification as a massage therapist in 2017. Initially inspired by visionary Ida Rolf, he sought the development of a clinical model that took the whole person into account. By recognizing the reciprocal influences of brain, body, and breath, the goal became to relieve pain and stress by "rewinding" their cumulative effects and reestablishing functional relationships. Toward that end, Brandon has completed coursework with:
- Focus on Fascia (Myofascial Release)
- Myofascial Release UK
- Abdominal Health – Adhesions and Beyond
- The Hesch Institute
- Postural Restoration Institute
- Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization
- Mind-Body Studies Academy
- Low Pressure Fitness (via Pelvic Global Academy)
- Institute for Birth Healing
- and others
Additionally, Brandon is currently enrolled in Buteyko Clinic International's Practitioner Training Program, and looks forward to completing training with MDH Breathing Coordination and Open Focus.
A member of the U.S. DOHaD Society ('Developmental Origins of Health and Disease'), Brandon also has a strong interest in preconception health and well-being. In fact, he hopes to leverage his training to improve fetal programming (2) toward healthier lifelong outcomes.
Outside the clinic, Brandon enjoys playing guitar, tennis, social dancing, and wants to learn more about music recording software. The family maltipoos are pretty cute, too.
